Job Description

Eaton is looking for a Lead Treasury Analyst - Investments.  The Lead Treasury Analyst - Investments will be located in our Beachwood, OH facility.

 
Position Description:
 

Specializes in administration and investment due diligence of global retirement assets (approx. $10B). Monitors and reports investment performance for defined benefit, defined contribution and deferred compensation plans globally. Leads quarterly and annual audit and financial reporting activities. Manages day-to-day administrative activities with support from global treasury administrative resources in the United States and India. Responsible for maintaining and improving custom analytical tools and models of our investment portfolios. Recommends tactical and strategic trading opportunities as market conditions warrant. Assists the investment manager in building and maintaining strong relationships with current and potential external investment managers. Prepares materials for strategic presentations for the Pension Investment Committee and Finance Committee of the Board of Directors.

 
Responsibilities include:

Models and analyzes the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico defined benefit plans’ investments – maintaining various dashboards and risk reports to support tactical and strategic changes to the portfolios. 

Reviews the investment performance of funds offered in the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico defined contribution plans, including benchmarking active funds to like peer funds and monitoring the defined contribution landscape to ensure our plans remain world-class at a competitive price point. 

Assists conducting new manager searches for across plans and asset classes including but not limited to passive funds, traditional active managers, strategic beta strategies, hedge funds, private equity and real estate. 

Develops high quality material for strategic presentations for support of Global Retirement Asset Committee, Pension Investment Committee and Finance Committee of the Board of Directors meeting. 

Identifies opportunities for process improvements and automation. 




Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements)

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business from an accredited institution with 3 years’ accounting/finance experience; or a Master’s degree with 1 year accounting/finance experience

Authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship now or in the future
No relocation offered. Candidate must live within 50 miles of the Eaton Cleveland, OH facility 

Position Criteria: 
Knowledge of economics, finance, accounting, and quantitative analysis 
Expert-level Excel and PowerPoint skills 

Preferred Qualifications: 
Progress towards CFA/MBA a plus 
Strong system skills, experience with Bloomberg and treasury management systems preferred 

Institutional investment experience a plus

A graduate of Eaton’s Financial Leadership Development Program preferred.
