Engage the supply base as an integral part of our business in the drive for zero defects quality performance. Ensure flawless launch in all supplier and tooling changes. Deploy standard processes for supplier quality. Assess supplier capabilities and capacity and coordinate SSA corrections with Pune Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements)
Manage up-front expectations and requirements for supplier’s PPAP planning and readiness. Coordinate tooling PPAP approvals utilizing Pune to provide dimensional checks
Track tooling resourcing until first production is received
A. Work with sourcing and purchasing to ensure supplier performance is regularly reported and that appropiate and timely corrective actions are implemented.
B. Report supplier performance and quality to management.
C. Champion problem solving and root cause analysis with suppliers to eliminate recurrence.
D. Work to resolve supplier technical issues in a timely manner to insure continuity of supply.
E. Maintain successful relationships with supply chain, egineering, manufacturing and regulatory areas.
F. Conduct capability assessments that verify supplier qualifications, travel to assigned suppliers and lead projects assigned to completion.
G. Drive "zero defect" mentality with the supply base.
- Engineering degree
- Hands on knowledge of molding and stamping operations
- Strong statistical knowledge
- CQE certification a plus
- Knowledge of PPAP process, 8D’s, 5 Whys, Pareto charting, Six Sigma
- Advanced problem solving and computer skills
- Function independently with little supervision
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
