Job Description
This position is responsible for the development and implementation of Product Quality Plans, leading continuous improvement activities, including those required to address customer complaints, and managing the Quality Assurance strategy to ensure product flow consistent with customer requirements, established industry and internal standards and government regulations.
Actively strives to improve manufacturing processes by utilizing variability reduction methodologies such as Six Sigma and Lean. Ensures compliance to current Quality Management Systems (ISO/TS) and the Eaton Quality System.

A.-Analyzes quality performance and metrics, identifies areas of improvement and leads resolution of those areas, resulting in improved quality metrics. Leads cross functional teams during customer complaint resolutions, identifying root causes and implementation of containment and corrective actions and leading the cross functional teams to implement actions to prevent reoccurrence

B.-Manages personnel maximizing the productivity and the quality of the products according to the standardized work and manufacturing instructions; sticking at all times to the internal rules of work.

C.-Active participation in solving day-to-day quality problems in the production areas working with multifunctional teams.

D.-Designs and implements quality assurance training programs and conducts training in quality-related topics, in addition to personnel development plans. Support operational performance of the group in order to facilitate performance management, merit promotions, job transfers, dismissals, commendations, etc.

E.-Actively participates in the implementation and continuous improvement efforts to the Quality Management Systems, playing a participant role in the ISO/TS audits and EQS audits.

F.-Actively participates in cross-functional company-wide teams to assist in driving quality improvements, process improvements, business system enhancements and process standardization. Support initiatives to improve EHS culture, actively participating in the plant efforts toward achievement of safety and environmental goals.

G.-Assists with corporate initiatives at the plant level, participating on teams in order to drive best practices across Eaton Corp. Supports the plant in obtaining and maintaining their Eaton Business Excellence Certification.

H.-Regularly communicates and demonstrates the Eaton best practices, ethics, values and philosophy such that these cultural attributes are incorporated throughout the organization. Fosters an environment that promotes Eaton’s goals and philosophy and encourages continuous improvement and builds customer relationships. 



Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements)
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field with 3 years experience in quality assurance.
• Knowledge of quality techniques including statistical methods used to analyze and control process variations, capability studies, Gage R&R’s, Control Planning and PFMEA
• Prior firsthand experience (3-5 yrs. Minimum) dealing with customers on quality issues.
• Proficient knowledge of AQP and ISO9000 / TS 16949
• Prior experience with ERP – Mfg Pro strongly preferred.
• Team-oriented problem solving skills using quality tools and structured methodologies.
• Knowledge in Six Sigma methodology (Green/Black belt preferred).
• Knowledgeable in the application of Product/Process and Quality System standards of the International Certification bodies, and Customer Quality Requirements.
• Negotiation and conflict resolution skills

Language Requirements:
• Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English and Spanish.
