The EHS & Facility Manager develops and manages the facility’s EHS Program to be in compliance with local, state and federal EHS requirements, as well as Eaton internal EHS requirements. The goal is for the EHS program to progress to world class level. This position reports directly to the plant manager, with strong dotted line reporting to the Regional EHS Director assigned to that division(s). The EHS & Facility Manager works with employees at all levels of the organization, and is a member of the plant manager’s staff. This position may have multi-site responsibilities. The EHS & Facility Manager also interacts directly with the Sub-Regional EHS Manager for the division, and with other facility EHS leaders in the development, implementation and execution of Annual EHS & Facility Action Plan and projects.Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements)
- Bachelor of Science Degree in a technical field, preferably engineering, chemistry, or EHS management, and 7+ years of relevant experience;
Ability to work in matrix organization with multiple reporting responsibilities;
Strong oral and written communication skills;
Understanding of all components of an EHS Program, including accident investigation, ergonomics, industrial hygiene, life safety, machine guarding, air permitting, wastewater, hazardous waste, property conservation, and workers’ compensation;
Evaluate EHS programs, and then develop and implement corrective actions.
