Job Description

Plan, organize, direct, coordinate, control and supervise the manufacturing operations with the responsibility for the execution of all company rules, policies, procedures and programs in support of the companies goals and objectives. Ensure that manufactured products efficiently and that the correct amount is produced at the right cost and level of quality.


A. Play a significant role in long-term planning, including an initiative geared toward operational excellence,
Liaison among different departments, e.g. suppliers, managers; working with managers to implement the company's policies and goals, manage and control departments expenditures in conjunction with proposed budget.

B. Select, train and evaluate personnel.
C. Manage the manufacturing & facilities team including managing, mentoring and developing staff.
D. Contribute & implement to the rolling 3-year strategic plan for Operations.
E. Set and manage performance targets for direct reports.
F. Work out and implement standard work operating procedures for production operations.
G. Implement and enforce quality control and tracking programs to meet quality objectives.
H. Effectively communicate, interface, and coordinate interplant activities.
I. Review, analyze and resolve work related issues.
J. Insure availability of manpower and equipment to meet production requirements.
K. Approve performance reviews with specified company guidelines, recommend, approve promotions, demotions, and transfers within departments.
L. Develop department procedures, guidelines and objectives.
M. Obtain cost improvements through lean six sigma process or method improvements.
N. Coordinate and interface with engineering, customer service, quality, and materials for new product introduction.
O. Maintain, develop and implement good housekeeping practices and safe operating conditions in manufacturing area in order to comply with Health and Safety requirements.
P. Plan subordinates vacations minimizing impact on manufacturing operations.
Q. Prepare subordinates semi-annual and annual performance evaluation.
R. Participate in plant layout.
S. Responsible to learn, understand and show commitment to the Eaton Safety Process (ESP) and Voluntary Protection Program (VPP), complying with all the goals and objectives established in the annual ESP Goals Matrix by Title-Function.
T. Other functions as assigned.

Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements)

• Engineering Bachelor’s Degree, Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical Major

• Minimum 8 years experience both supervisory and managerial. Two years minimum experience on Managerial role.

• Six Sigma, ASQ, APICS, certifications preferred.

• Technical knowledge – Engineering, electronic experience, production planning, customer service and materials


Human relations skills to promote teamwork, at all levels, and leadership  to guide the team (Plant) to accomplish the goals. Managerial skills best manufacturing practices.
• Some Knowledge of labor laws and federal regulations.
