Job Description
For Eaton's Safety Division we are looking to hire:
Program Manager
location: Mitcheldean, UK
Program Manager will be responsible for the successful execution of the NPD Program(s) and projects and there budget allocation. Will act as the Divisional Program Management lead for the Life Safety Division. Will coordinate the Division Level Program Management activities and establish the best practices for program management across the division.
Essential Functions:
  • Defining Best Practice Program/Project Management for the Life Safety Division and facilitating its successful application across the division
  • Ensuring standard Program/Project Management processes are utilized and continually improved. This improvement will be reflected in successive ProLaunch assessments
  • Providing functional leadership and mentoring to the dedicated program managers and project leaders across the division
  • Ensuring adequate support to the program and project teams by coordinating PM reviews, preparing & publishing PM metrics and organizing training as required
  • Establishing and maintaining effective metrics for  quality, technical performance and delivery of the projects and programs running across the division through all of the PROLaunch phases
  • Maintaining and improving key Project Management tools and facilities such as the Divisional ProLaunch Sharepoint
  • Managing specific assigned projects with responsibility for project scope delivery and successful execution within technical, schedule, cost and quality commitments

Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements)
  • Bachelor's degree required; Engineering or Science degree preferred
  • Recognized Program Management qualification (APM or Prince 2)
  • Experience in Program Management; or a combination of Program Management with some Engineering and/or Product Development Management
  • Experienced in New Product Development (NPD) programs
  • Proven Leadership skills - capability to lead change in an Integrated Product Development Teams (IPT) environment across multiple sites
  • Proficient in Program and Project Management methodologies, processes and tools
  • Project Management Institute (PMI) accreditation (PMP) highly recommended
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills – both verbal and written with ability to make necessary status reports and technical presentations to Eaton management and customer
  • Experience in Risk Management
  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen
  • Broad knowledge gained within a product development/industry
